Saving money at Gerbes
Food is a major part of my life, in that I buy it, cook it and serve it up. My most favorite place to shop for groceries Gerbes A.K.A. Kroger.
Stock up and save!
At least once a month Gerbes will run a buy 5 save $5 sale or buy 10 and save $10 sale. This is the perfect opportunity to stock up on sale items and implement them into your food plans. Example: Goldfish crackers $1.00 each. Chicken breasts are always $1.99 there with a membership card (it's free to sign up ) so that's where we buy our chicken.
Membership brings full on benefits
From time to time at the register you will receive coupons from the store based on the items you've just purchased. Gerbes also sends coupons in the regular mail based on purchased items, sometimes I'll score free Wheat Thins or a free coffee drink. Digital coupons are also offered to members and can sometimes be used together with other in store offers.
All sale prices are only given with a Gerbes Membership.
Closing out a product
When they are closing out a product there they will offer it to the consumer at an incredibly now price. There are usually no limits as to how many of these you can buy. The dates are also usually well away from the date of closeout... usually at least 1 year away.
Close to expiration product
Lately I've seen produce being offered at extremely low prices because they want the sell. Check dates always on products ESPESCIALLY produce. If you know your family will drink that milk or eat those eggs before the expiration date go ahead and buy it and get that deal.
